Blood Pressure is a silent killer. High blood pressure usually has no symptoms, but it can cause serious problems such as stroke, heart failure, heart attack and kidney failure. You can control high blood pressure through healthy lifestyle habits or medicine, if needed.
Students from the Medical Assistant Program at Fox Institute, NJ alongside with Ms. Tate, Medical Assistant Program Director will be screening individuals for free on Friday.
Randy Proto, CEO of American Institute, Fox Institute’s parent company, added, “Blood pressure screenings can and do save lives. Knowing if you have high blood pressure is relatively easy, but too often individuals do not take the time to get screened. With Fox offering free screenings we encourage everyone to come out and get a blood pressure screening. In addition, to helping to save your own life, consider the role you can play in the educational process for some of our Medical Assisting students. This real life experience will be great for their education.”
