American Institute raises $500 for the March of Dimes Blue Jeans for Babies
March 2018, All Locations, “Together, all the way” was the theme for the March of Dimes 2018 Blue Jeans for Babies event, sponsored by Cigna. American Institute joined in this nationwide campaign again this year on each campus by letting students or staff who donated wear blue jeans to class.
Blue Jeans for Babies was conceived as a way to awareness about neonatal care and infant health, particularly the risks of prematurity. A premature infant can be born so small it fits in the palm of your hand, and premature babies are at high risk of disease, death and lifelong health issues.
Thanks to the generous contributions from students and staff, American Institute donated $512 to March of Dimes this year.
“We encourage students to get involved with the community and to support worthwhile causes,” said Sherry L. Muse, Assistant Campus President / Director of Education for the Clifton, NJ location. “Blue Jeans for Babies is a fun way to raise awareness and raise money for a great organization and its efforts to prevent premature birth.”
