#AIFamily team members in the Massage Therapy program showcased their skills and promoted the benefits of massage among the campus community and on social media. Clifton, NJ students brought their skills to the ‘Community Health Week’ at Bergen Community College with chair massages for participants.
“Massage is one of the earliest known therapeutic practices and is often an element of integrative medicine. While it can be very relaxing, it can also be part of conventional therapy for many medical illnesses and conditions. Massage helps reduce stress, pain, muscle soreness and tension. It improves overall circulation and can enhance our immune systems. A career as a massage therapist can be very fulfilling because you get to help clients feel better on so many levels. Being a massage therapist can really give you a sense of purpose, especially when you know your work makes a positive difference in the world,” shared Mrs. Selene Del Valle, MT Program Corporate Director.
One of the great things about celebrating this week is that it reminds us all that no matter what your circumstances or body type, massage can be a tool in your wellness kit to help you manage a wide array of conditions – it is no longer a luxury only available for the super-wealthy, and American Institute student clinics are a way to enjoy a therapeutic massage at a reduced cost. Everyone deserves to feel good in their body.
Let’s all embrace the healing touch of massage therapy and book an appointment today!
