October 2024, All Locations – Behind every ultrasound is a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, helping to make a difference in patient care every day. These professionals provide critical insights to help diagnose and monitor a range of health conditions, from prenatal care to detecting internal issues. We celebrated our #AIFamily and sonographers-in-training for Medical Ultrasound Awareness Month in October by recognizing their dedication and hard work! This month is annually sponsored by the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS) and helps spotlight the importance of ultrasound technology.

Sonographers are essential members of healthcare. They used specialized equipment to create images of patient’s internal structures, which help treat a variety of conditions. They can use these images to diagnose heart disease, cancers, kidney problems, pregnancy, and much more. Ultrasound professionals must have patient care skills, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of anatomy.
