Fox Institute Helps St. Joseph’s Hospital Bring Cheer to the Pediatric Unit

Clifton, NJ – The Holiday spirit is in full swing at Fox Institute located in Clifton, NJ a part of the American Institute family of schools.  On campus students, faculty and staff have started a toy drive in partner with St. Joseph’s Hospital Pediatric Unit in Paterson, NJ.  The toys collected will be brought to the facility and given to the children that unfortunately have to spend their Holiday Season in the hospital.

On December 21, 2010 some of the Fox Institute students will dress like “elves” alongside William Brown, Director of Admissions, dressed like “Santa Claus,” and other Fox Institute staff will join them as they bring all the toys collected to the Pediatric Unit and spread some holiday cheer.  The primary goal of the toy drive is to deliver some Holiday Spirit within the local community and the students, staff and faculty at Fox Institute are going to make sure that it gets done, and done right.

“The Fox Institute students are proud to be a part of this,” said Hilda Diaz, Campus President of Fox Institute.  “Our students and staff truly believe in this terrific toy drive.  They are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of these children.  Last year this was a huge success and I’m sure it will be again this year.  All of this would not be possible without the help of a few of my faculty and staff, Selene del Valle Massage Therapy Program Director, Vanessa Tate, Medical Assistant Program Director and Theresa Barreto, Senior Admissions Representative.  I want to be the first to tell them all how proud I am of their efforts and I hope these children enjoy their gifts and that we bring some peace and comfort to them and their families.”

Donation boxes, that are also open to the public, will be set up at Fox Institute 346 Lexington Avenue Clifton, NJ.  Toys can be dropped off Monday through Thursday 8am until 8pm, Friday 8am until 4pm and Saturday 9am until 2pm.  Toys should be wrapped and properly marked with the age and gender that the toy is appropriate for.   St. Joseph’s Pediatric Unit houses children of all ages, so just remember that when you are out shopping.  “We encourage everyone to come and bring a toy” added Diaz

Randy Proto, CEO of American Institute, Fox Institute's parent, added, “Our students are training in fields that help people every day, but these efforts are reminders that we all can make a difference in the lives of those who are sick this Holiday Season.  I encourage everyone to follow the lead of the students and staff at Fox Institute and donate a toy to a child this holiday season.”
